Description
The whale tail is the workhorse push tool of paintless dent repair. Its flat, curved blade lets you slide behind a brace or inside a panel and press the dent out from underneath, without disturbing the paint.
This 10 inch version has a 1/2 inch wide tip (ultra thin), so you can choose the length that suits the panel and the access you have: shorter tails for tight areas and door skins, longer tails for roofs, bonnets and deeper reach.
Choosing a length: measure how far you must reach from the access point to the dent, then pick a tail a little longer than that distance so you keep leverage.
